Terms of Service

By using hangoutwithme ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. What hangoutwithme Is

hangoutwithme is a free concert discovery tool. It reads your Spotify listening data (top artists, followed artists, saved tracks) and matches it against upcoming live events from Ticketmaster and SeatGeek. It also lets you connect with friends to see your shared music taste and find shows to attend together.

2. Your Account

You sign in through Spotify's OAuth. We don't create separate accounts or passwords. Your Spotify account is your hangoutwithme identity.

You're responsible for maintaining access to your Spotify account. If your Spotify session expires, you'll need to re-authenticate.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use hangoutwithme to scrape, harvest, or collect data about other users without their consent.
• Attempt to access another user's data or impersonate another user.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service (unless permitted by applicable law).
• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
• Modify or create derivative works based on the Spotify Platform or any part thereof.

4. Spotify Integration

hangoutwithme uses the Spotify Platform but is not endorsed, certified, or otherwise approved by Spotify. hangoutwithme is solely responsible for its service. Spotify bears no responsibility for hangoutwithme and disclaims all liability related to it.

Your use of Spotify's service is governed by Spotify's Terms of Service. hangoutwithme's access to your Spotify data is subject to the permissions you grant during the OAuth authorization flow.

5. Third-Party Services

hangoutwithme displays event data from Ticketmaster and SeatGeek. Ticket links take you to those platforms. We are not responsible for the accuracy of event listings, ticket availability, pricing, or any transactions you make on third-party ticketing sites.

6. Privacy

Your use of hangoutwithme is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.

7. Availability and Changes

hangoutwithme is provided as a free service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice. We don't guarantee uptime or availability.

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

8. Disclaimer

hangoutwithme is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that event data will be accurate or complete.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, hangoutwithme and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to missed events, inaccurate listings, or loss of data.

10. Spotify as Third-Party Beneficiary

Spotify is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms of Service and is entitled to directly enforce them.

11. Termination

You can stop using hangoutwithme at any time by disconnecting your Spotify account (see our Privacy Policy for instructions). We may terminate or suspend your access at any time for any reason.
